Delete your account

You need an account only for the world leaderboard. Here is how to delete it.

What an account is

Ear Hop creates an account only when you sign in to the world leaderboard with Apple or Google. Without a sign-in there is no account: your best scores and settings are only on your phone, and deleting the app removes them.

How to ask for deletion

  1. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject Delete my Ear Hop account.
  2. Tell us your leaderboard name and whether you signed in with Apple or Google. Send the email from the address of that account if you can.
  3. We confirm the request and delete the account within 30 days.

What we delete

  • Your Songtive account: account identifier, name, email address and country.
  • Your scores on every Ear Hop leaderboard.
  • The link between the account and the usage data of the game.

The same Songtive account also works in ChordIQ and Piano Companion, so deleting it removes it there too.

What we keep

  • Purchase records of Ear Hop Plus, as long as tax and consumer law require (usually up to 10 years). Ear Hop Plus stays yours: it belongs to your Apple ID or Google account, not to the leaderboard account.
  • Usage data that is not linked to you anymore.

To stop Sign in with Apple for Ear Hop, open Settings › your name › Sign in with Apple on your iPhone. For Google, open your Google Account › Security › Your connections to third-party apps.
